Notra Dame

On Sunday, we went to Notra Dame. There was some sort of ceremony going on and the huge ornate pipe organ was turning out some tunes.

Skylar seemed drawn to the sectioned called "Chapelle de la Sainte-Enfance". The statues here were of a saint holding children in his lap. We let Skylar light a candle and say a little prayer about kids and travel.

Skylar goes to Euro-Disneyland

On Saturday, we went to Euro-Disneyland. We all agreed that it was more like Dollywood than like Disney World in Orlando. For those of you not familiar with Dollywood, picture a country western version of Six Flags. Even though it wasn't as big and grand as we'd expected, we had a good time and Skylar loved it!

Skylar made a mad dash across the Mickey Mouse flower bed at the park entrance... Daron had to go get him.

Skylar's first "big" ride....

This video was taken of Skylar at Disneyland in Paris. He loved the place! During a long day at the park, Sky napped only for about 15 minutes. He was wound up and extremely happy.

First thing the next morning, Skylar said to me, "I wanna go to Disney again." We went to Notra Dame instead... more on this coming in another post.

Family in Paris

Daron is working in Paris again. This time, he took Brandi, Skylar, and his sister-in-law, Alisha. While Daron works, the family plays. We're all having a great time.

Snow Day

We haven't had very many "snow days" where we live, but this weekend we had a HUGE front move through and finally got a "real" snow. Of course Skylar and I packed up before the big storm really got started, and headed down to Mom and Dad's house. Now they did not get near the amount of snow that Central and Northern Kentucky saw, but they still had enough that we could finally take Skylar out to play in the snow!! He had a great time. His snow suit from last year still fit believe it or not albeit a little on the short side, but we made sure to put on long johns and doubled up on the socks. He had a wonderful time playing with Granny and A.A. in the snow. I have to admit that I had some fun too! We made sure to take some really cute pics for Daddy to see since he couldn't be here with us. Hope that you enjoy them too!

Sky update

Since Sky's dad is out of town right now and missing us, we wanted to post a couple of new pictures to the blog so that dad could see them. Sky really misses his dad and asks about him everyday. I know that he will be very excited to see him when he get home later this week. We are both looking forward to having Daddy back home. As for being sick, we are both still a bit (that being an understatment for me) under the weather. Skylar does seem to be a bit better the last couple of days. The coughing seems to be better, and the noes is more crusty rather than "drippy".


Sky hasn't been feeling very good lately. In this pic you can still see his runny noes. Love his little heart.. at least his eyes are still beautiful!

Missing Everyone

I'm to be gone way too much this winter and spring. I'm sick and in Paris today. My chest is congested, my sinuses are acting up, and I'm very sleepy. I took some cold medicine and I think it just made me feel worse. Apparently Skylar at home has a cold as well. Brandi said that she'd taken him to the doctor yesterday. I feel rather guilty for not being there. I miss both him and her. Perhaps this weekend, Brandi can post some pictures of herself and Sky to the blog???

Daron's Travels

I am going to be working in France for three weeks in January. I'm unsure about the remainder of the winter. It's going to be tough on me to be gone so long. But, it's likely to be harder for Brandi and Sky. So, everyone, please keep them in mind and be here for them while I am gone. Thank you.

Truck Bed

For Skylar's room, Brandi had in visioned a bed that looks like an old pickup truck. My father, Sky's grandpa took it upon himself to build one for us. I think he did a great job. We'll post another picture when it is in his room.
